| JCO found hanging in qtr at Sunjwan | | | JAMMU: A junior commissioned officer (JCO) was found hanging under mysterious circumstances from the ceiling fan hook in his official quarter at Sunjwan army brigade here last night.
Police sources identified him as Mahadikshit of 156 ASC.
Sources said he was found hanging from the ceiling fan hook by other jawans at about 8.30 pm. They informed senior officers, who brought the matter to the notice of police, the sources added.
Police reached the spot at about 1 am, and after completing legal formalities, removed the body to the GMC Hospital where post-mortem was conducted on it this morning.
It was later handed over to army jawans, who were accompanying the body, sources said, adding no suicide note was recovered from the incident site.
Police had registered a case in this connection.
