| MLA under house arrest | | | SRINAGAR: MLA Langat, Engineer Abdul Rashid was placed under house arrest at his official residence at Jawahar Nagar. Rashid had plans to stage a dharna at Lal Chowk to protest fake encounter killings. He had sought permission from the district magistrate which was denied for obvious reasons. However, he decided to go ahead with the programme.
