| Summer workshop at Abhinav Theatre gets underway | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 10: A month-long summer workshop being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in Abhinav Theatre was today inaugurated by the Secretary of the Academy, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas.
The summer workshop is being undertaken in three disciplines of theatre, dance and painting.
In this workshop school children between the age group of 8-18 are participating.
Addressing the audience, Manhas emphasized that as the present age is an age of competition hence it is pertinent that the children should give maximum care towards their studies to compete with this modern era but it is equally important to take part in such type of workshops where the children gets all-round development. The Academy has engaged experts to impart basic training to participants.
Additional Secretary JKAACL, Savita Bakshi apprised about the schemes being undertaken by the Academy with an appeal to those associated with the Art, Culture and Languages to avail benefits of these schemes.
