| JKNPP stages protest for ignoring refugees | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 10: Activists of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) staged a protest demonstration at City Chowk, Jammu today against discriminating the refuges and migrants of the state. The protesters torched an effigy of state government. Panthers Party demanded that migrants of Jammu and the refugees from PoK of 1947, 1965, and 1971 be meted out humane treatment and justice and their comprehensive resettlement be undertaken in the light of the order of Supreme Court of India. Addressing the protesters, advisor JKNPP Bansi Lal Sharma warned the government of serious consequences if the migrants were not provided relief according to the Supreme Court order. General Secretary JKNPP Anita Thakur held Congress-NC leaders responsible for the sufferings of migrants and refugees who had remained in an unsettled state for past six decades. Panther's Party leaders said that the Congress, which deprived the Migrants and Refugees of their rights, has been exposed when in the last week a Congress Minister went to the Prime Minister in Srinagar with some refugee leaders playing fraud with them by posing as their well-wishers. Prominent among the gathering were Rajinder Singh, Raghubir Singh Billowria, Naresh Chib, S. D. Khajuira, Shanker, Rakesh Gupta and others.
