| Kathua’s Dream Park in shambles | | | ARUN TRISAL

Kathua, June 10: Only "Dream Park" mostly occupied by the people who come from far off places to relax for hours together there feel ire of heat due to lack of adequate plantation in the park. No doubt park is almost decorated with trees and flowers but not with required quantity of plants and trees. Park is at the verge of loosing its original look of which public seems to have become disappointed. Every morning and evening thousands of people can be seen in park but due to the negligence of the concerned department of Floriculture ,fountain is out of order, no canteen facilities, no proper lighting system even there is no toilet and drinking water facilities which are the main requirements of the park.
A fountain installed at centre of a small water pond is still out of function and order because water pond is totally filled with waste material like polythene bags, rotten fruits, papers and etc. It is constantly seen that no body is daring to clean pond and clean entire Park. Park is thrown at the mercy of God in the terms of maintenance. One fails to understand as to where and who is running department as salaries and other expenses are being distributed to the employees every month?
