| Seven burglars held, two thefts worked out | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 10: With the arrest of seven burglars, police today claimed to have worked out two theft cases and recovered a large quantity of stolen items, including gold jewellery. The accused were identified as Suresh Kumar of Sarwan, Kishtwar, Amjed Hussian of Housing Colony, Wasim Irshad of Hartyan, Punjeet Sharma, Sudershan Sharma of Garhi, Sanjay Kumar of ward No 11 and Gulshan Kumar of Malhar, Udhampur. Giving details, additional SP, Udhampur, Bhupinder Singh said police had worked out both the theft cases which took place at Jib and Garhi in January. He said burglars had decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 3,33,000 from the house of Ram Singh of Bal Nagar, Jib, on January 29 and also stolen electronic articles worth Rs 55,000 from a mobile shop at Garhi. All the stolen items had been recovered from the accused, he added. he sustained interrogation of the accused was on and police hoped to work out more theft cases at their instance.
