| GIF launch blood donation campaign | | | Early times Report
Jammu, June 10: The 'Go India Foundation' (GIF) led by its chairperson, Alka Lamba is going to launch nation wide blood donation camping drive form August 15, 2010. As per press release in the country around eight million units of blood are needed every year, but only half of it is obtained from voluntary donors, while rest comes form by replacement blood donations form relatives or paid lovers. Keeping the demand in consideration Lamba felt the need and decided to have united efforts and decided to collect 36,000 units of blood from all over the country.
The campaign will be held in 70 cities across the country on Independence Day. Donors will get free medical examination and a certificate.
