| Army flags off educational of children | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 10: Sector Commander at Chandrakot today flagged off a group of 26 children and 2 teachers of Banihal and surrounding areas on an eleven-day excursion. The excursion has planned visits to the famous Dargah of Moinuddin Chisti at Ajmer and other places of historical, cultural and religious importance at Jaipur, Udaipur and Mt Abu. The unique excursion organized by the Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta Force) is scheduled from 10 - 21 June and aims at wining the hearts and minds of the local populace by assisting them in improving their awareness regarding the development, culture and traditions of our great nation. The tour also provides an opportunity to the children to reach beyond the isolated environment of their habitats and interact with people from different castes and communities and establish a lasting bondage based on peace and friendship. During the impressive flag off ceremony at Chandrakot, the Sector Commander interacted with the teachers and children, and urged them to reap maximum benefit by educating themselves during the tour. He also stated that secular fabric of our nation provides equal opportunity and freedom to all communities which immensely strengthened our economic prosperity and progress over the last few decades. The elders and teachers were upbeat about the tour and appreciated the positive role played by the Rashtriya Rifles in the development of their children and upliftment of the people living in rural areas of J&K.
