| Zila Sainik Welfare officials visit Ramnagar | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 10: In connection with the welfare activities for retired Army personnel and their families, a high level team of officers of Zila Sainik Welfare, Udhampur visited Ramnagar today where they distributed ex-gratia relief to the affected persons.. The team was led by Brigadier R.S Langeh, VSM, Director Sainik Welfare Department, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer and Lt Col (retd.) Man Singh Jamwal. ZSWO spoke on various concessions and welfare schemes extended by the Central/State Government for the welfare of ex-servicemen/Widows. He apprised Ex-servicemen and widows of the importance of joint notification for family pension and publication of Part II orders, PM's scholarship schemes for the wards of ex-servicemen/widows, daughters marriage grants, demise grant, ADLR Scheme, and relief to ex-J&K Militia/WW-II personnel. He exhorted the audience to become members of Ex Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) under which complete medical coverage is provided to the pensioners/widows as well as their dependents. Col. Jamwal handed over a bank draft of Rs One Lakh to Naseeb Singh; father of late Rfn. Povinder Singh of Majua Chowki on account of Ex-gratia. Speaking on the occasion, Col Jamwal assured Ex-servicemen/widows that he will look into their genuine demands and will provide every possible help to them. Prominent among the audience were C.D Singh, ex Subedar Kulwant Singh, ex-Subedar Shiv Ram, ex- Risaldar Bishan Singh, ex-Nb Subedar Santokh Singh, ex-Hav Kirat Singh, ex Hav Darshan Singh, ex- Hav Madan Mohan Singh and ex Rfn Naseeb Singh.
