| Relaxed Omar enjoys holiday at HP, Leh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 10: It is a much deserved holiday for the chief Minister jubiliant for more than one reason. After receiving a pat from none other than Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh during his two day long visit to Kashmir state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has taken a leave from his hectic schedule and is reportedly enjoying the cool climes with his family in Himanchal Pradesh. The articulate Chief Minister with his eloquent skills did impress country's Prime Minister about the performance of his government through power point presentation. The 'pwerful' power presentation won him praise and pat from the Prime minister, something which made his detractors feel uneasy. It is no secret that his political adversaries and even some detractors in state bureaucracy had for some time been trumpeting a campaign against him about his 'non performance' on the ground, This campaign though in subtle manner had started making rounds in the corridors of power in New Delhi, which if allowed to continue would have earned him 'bad remarks'. However, fortunately for Omar, PM's visit came as a timely boon and in a way he has got fresh respite from the 'loose talk' that was prevailing even around his own coalition government. For reasons obvious, a relaxed and happy Omar now wants to enjoy some personal moments with his family which is why he has chosen a holiday at his all time favourite place, Himachal. Only recently, the Chief Minister during one of the book launch functions in Jammu university auditorium had expressed a desire to spend some time with his children in Ladakh and relive the childhood memories. According to reliable sources in the state government during his current holiday the Chief Minister is expected to take a road journey from Manali to Leh in the company of his children before returning to work. Though his scheduled visit was kept a tightly guarded secret but soon after Chief Minister reached Manali to spend some time with his family further details of his holiday plans were leaked out as elaborate security arrangements were required to be made along the route to enable Omar Abdullah to take road journey via Manali to Leh. In his absence several senior ministers and bureaucrats are also holidaying in Kashmir with their families and enjoying the cool climes after putting in long hours of hard work ahead of the visit of Prime Minister. The senior police officers also heaved a sigh of relief at the end of the incident free visit of the Prime Minister to the Kashmir valley.
