| Gaddi Shippi cell hails statement of MLA Naiz | | | Early times Report
Jammu, June 12: Highlighting the plight of Gaddi and Shippi tribes before the Prime Minister by MLA, Bhaderwah, and Mahammod Shreif Niaz has been high hailed by the all J&K Gaddi, Shippi congress cell at a meeting held here today.
State President of the cell Dr. Surit Singh Uttam said that MLA Naiz has laid emphasis on over all development of hamlets of the Gaddi communities under tribal plan with the prime Minister when he met him at Srinagar recently.
He said some others demands put before the PM were political reservation for Gaddi/Shippi communities in state legislature which is being denied to them the dawn of independence.
Establishment of state Advisory Board for development or Gaddi/ Shippi tribes on the analogy of Gujjar Bakerwal, SC,OBC and Pahari-speaking development Board. Adoption of special mechanisms for funding of schemes under RDD in hilly areas where most of outlay is utilized as overhead expenses.
Enhancement of Ration scale in tribal/ Hilly areas. Exgratia relief to the livestock owners/who suffered huge losses due to unprecedented snowfall, incessant rain/hail storm in alpine pastures of Bhadarwah, Paddar, and Marwah and Warwan areas in recent days. Beside compensation to farmers who suffered huge loss of fruit, vegetables and others farming crops due to bad weather conditions.
