| Two held with poppy straw, hashish | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 12: In separate incidents, two narcotic smugglers were today arrested by police with 18 kg poppy straw and 7 kg hashish from Nagrota and Kathua areas. During checking of a passenger bus near Nagrota , police recovered 18 kg poppy straw from a person, who was immediately taken into custody. He was identified as Ghulam Nabi Wagre of Kokernagar in Anantnag. He was on his way from Srinagar to Jammu.
In another incident, Omesh Kumar of Gopalganj in Bihar was taken into custody along with 7 kg hashish near railway station in Kathua. Both the accused were booked in NDPS Act.
