KATHUA, June 12: IN hell children are spared and on earth children are respected because it is said that God reflects his being through bright smiling eyes of children. But no doubt, Jammu and Kashmir is considered as paradise on earth and its gate way Lakhanpur, most essential part of the paradise is also world famous because of child labour menace and not for any other reason. Restaurants, Bars, hotels, dhabas, shops, tea stalls, industries are hiring services of children besides house hold working are also being done by these angels. Main influential people of the area captured entire area and use children under age for their business establishments, offices, and houses work.
Labour department knows very clearly all the realities of child labour in their occupations and houses but never dare to come forward to rescue them from clutches of these highly influential people. All the palaces restaurants dhabas are mostly run by these politically, economically influential people and violating the child labour norms, and are openly exploiting them against little amount. Some times it looks that town and Lakhanpur is the market of the child labour and every child sees his future beyond the sun and sometimes it touches the heart of everyone when they smile without confidence and under terror of their bosses.
They can never be seen in good cloths, always covered delicate body with wastages of cloths of their boss's son or etc. This growing menace has left serious concerns of child labour and their extreme exploitation in this most essential part of the paradise on earth.
Government, administration and even concerned Labour Department failed to act effectively to save these kids from the clutches of influential.
But only hope remains with the God, who only can rescue them and none other as the prevailing scenario of dispensation indicates. Lets all pray for them! |
