SSP visits Kulhand , assures massacre victims

DODA OCT-17- Senior Superintendent of Police Manohar Singh today visited village Kulhand where militants had committed a massacre and killed 19 civilians and injured 10 others on the April 30 last and held a meeting with the victims and the general public of the area.
About 200 villagers, victims of the massacre including the injured persons besides VDC members and police and Army personnel deployed at various pickets took part in the meeting.
The locals put forth their problems relating to Police and some other government departments and called for their immediate redressal.
The demands voiced include provision of jobs in police department to the affected families, up-gradation of Middle school, construction of road up to Thawa, provision of adequate water supply facilities and setting up of a dispensary.
Assuring that their problems and grievances would be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority, the SSP said that recruitment in police from the affected families would be conducted soon.
