| Army camp gives free treatment to civilians in Pulwama | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, June 13: Over a thousand patients and equal number of animals were treated and provided free medicines in a camp organized by the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in a far-flung area in district Pulwama in South Kashmir. A Defence Ministry spokesman said here this afternoon that a medical and veterinary camp was organized by 42 RR on behalf of one sector under Operation Sadhbhavana at Panyar, Tral for the locals, Gujjars and Bakarwals. A team of doctors including medical specialists, general physicians, dentist and a lady doctor along with a medical officer each of the Army Medical and Veterinary Corps attended to all health-related complaints of the locals and their livestock. The Army distributed free medicines to all patient including immunization vaccines for children. It also carried out free check up of animals and issued vet medicines during the camp. About 1000 patients, including 250 women and 150 children and approximately 1000 animals were treated in the camp.
