| State Korfball Association felicitates players | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu October 17 The J&K KorfBall Association today felicitated Junior Korfball team who bagged silver medal in the recently concluded 14th (U/21) Junior National Korfball championship played at Agra. J&K lost to Haryana in the final. T.S. Wazir MLC and president of J&K Korfball Association distributed merit certificates to the players. In his address, he congratulated the team for commendable performance despite losing the final against Haryana and hoped that the team would play with more determination and win gold medal in the forthcoming championships thereby bringing laurels for the state. Others who were present on the occasion were Manjeet Singh (General Secretary), Ram Sharma (Secretary), Trilok Singh (Advisor), and Pardeep Malhotra (Vice President). J&K team bagged three silver medals in as many championships in which they participated in this year. The remaining two silver medals were won by the team in 7th Sub-Junior National Korfball championship held at Jaipur and 14th Federation Cup Korfball championship also held at the same venue. However, J&K will also host 2nd North Zone Korfball championship from November 24-27. The 21st Senior National Korfball championship will be played at Bhilai. J&K finished 3rd in the championship held last year at Nasik.
