Amarnath yatra registration crosses one lakh mark

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,JUNE 13: With still over a fortnight time left for start of annual pilgrimage to 3888 meter high Amarnath cave in South Kashmir himalayas, registration of pilgrims has crossed one lakh mark today.
"Over one Lakh pilgrims have been registered for pilgrimage to cave shrine of Lord Shiva in South Kashmir himalayas till today as registration across the country
began from June five, officials of J&K Bank, nodal agency for registration, said.
While 54 thousand pilgrims have registered through various J&K Bank registeration counters, over 47000 have registered through on-line.
Giving break up, they said that 53,000 pilgrims have registered for their yatra on Pahalgam-Amarnath route, while 48,000 have registered for Baltal-Amarnath route till now.
The registration began at 121 branches of J&K Bank which is nodal agency for registration of pilgrims across the country, they said.
