| Jawan arrested with live cartridges from station | | |
Jammu, October 18:
An Army jawan was arrested with nine live cartridges of Insas rifle while trying to board a train from the Jammu Railway station, official sources said.
The cartridges were recovered during a search of the jawan Sarwar Ali's bag, the sources said adding he was taken into custody on the spot.
Ali was posted in Kupwara district and was on way to his hometown in Rajasthan.
On October 8, a JCO was arrested with 40 AK live rounds, followed by the arrest of another jawan on October 6 in a similar fashion at the Jammu railway station along with 20 AK rounds.
