JAMMU, June 20: Being organised by Baba Jitto Temple Development Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, the 47th Annual Aghar Jitto Kesari Vishal Dangal shall take place at village Aghar Jitto on Katra-Reasi Road in district Reasi on June 27. Dangal is part of the three-day annual mela at Baba Jitto Temple commencing from June 25.
This was decided in a meeting of the organizing committee held at Aghar Jitto under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Pondurang K Pole. Others who attended the meeting were president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Mohan Lal Pujari ( president), Headmaster, Gopal Krishan, Om Parkash Malkotra, Ramesh Kumar Sanmotra, Mangat Ram, Shanker Singh, Bodh Raj, Bansi Lal, Om Parkash, Bishan Dass Ramesh Kumar, Ram, Pt. Rameshwer, Krishan Lal, Sunil Kholi Krishan Chand Verma, Mohinder Kumar. SP Katra Shiv Kumar Sharma, Tehsildar Reasi Shri Sher Singh, Tehsildar Katra, Rattan Singh Assistant Director Tourism, Ashima Sher, Executive Engineer R&B, PHE,CMO Reasi and BMO Katra.
Giving details of the meeting, Shiv Kumar Sharma said that nearly 70 wrestlers from various parts of the state and outside as also those representing BSF, J&K Police shall take part.
Technical officials nominated for the conduct of dangal included Vijay Singh (Biju), Mohd. Fareed, Om Parkash Sharma NIS Wrestling coach, Krishan Lal Sharma , Capt. Lehar Singh (Retd.) Allah Mai (Ranga), Master Ram Krishan (Retd.), Mohan Lal, Pujari, Gopal Krishan, Om Parkash Malkotra, Romesh Kumar Sanmotra, and Mohinder Kumar.
Meanwhile, other wrestlers interested to take part can still submit their entries to Shiv Kumar Sharma (94191-61880).
