| JJSF flays Geelani's statement | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 20: After religious and social outfits, the students of Jammu today condemned the statement of Hurriyat Conference chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani vis-à-vis a demand of curtailment of Amarnath yatra period to 15 days from two months. Talking to the media persons here, Partap Singh Jamwal, vice president JJSF alleged that the statement was totally against Hindu religion aimed at creating disturbance in the peaceful atmosphere of J&K. "These statements are totally against Hinduism and creating fractions between religions. The statement of Geelani shows that he does not obey the Constitution of India,' the JJSF leader said. He alleged that separatist leaders are creating disturbance in Kashmir region and they have no right to stay in India. "The focus of Central and State governments is giving more packages to Kashmir, jobs for stone pelters, besides no action against stone pelters and Hurriyat leaders," he maintained. He said that the Union government, state government and Governor, N.N. Vohra, who is also the chairman of SASB should clear their positions on this issue and demanded to act against Hurriyat leaders according to law. He warned that if separatist try to stop the holy Amarnath Yatra, they would not be allowed for entering Jammu region. The JJSF also appealed all the elected representatives and political and non political organizations of Jammu region to come on one platform and raises their voice against this issue.
