| 'Symbolic return' of KP families is politically motivated: PK | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 20: Panun Kashmir has taken serious note of the fast changing political developments initiated by state government with far reaching implications to the fate and future of political struggle of Kashmiri Pandits. In the meeting of Political Affairs Committee of Panun Kashmir chaired by Agnishekhar, convener Panun Kashmir, members termed that recent government moves to execute symbolic return of few hundred families to transit camps in the valley after twenty years of exile, as politically motivated. "The reversal of genocide and exodus of Kashmiri Pandit community was overwhelmingly of political nature which warrants a political solution not mere tokenism," the meeting observed. It said that the Kashmiri Pandit community is an important component of J&K state with its genuine geo-political aspirations, adding that trivializing the issue of Exodus and Genocide of Kashmiri Pandit community by state of India tantamount to the strengthening of the separatist forces in the valley, which tantamount to playing second fiddle to the separatists forces. Given the security scenario in the valley and the unconstitutional and draconian conditions attached to the employment package resulting in forcing hundreds of female folks of Kashmiri Pandits to accept employment is a "stark blackmail" causing the worry and anxiety to the community in general and their parents in particular. PK expressed dismay and shock over the connivance of KP members of Apex Committee, constituted by state government for the return and rehabilitation of the community, by maintaining a stoic silence over the issue. It has appealed the community to remain united in this hour of crisis against these nefarious designs of the government and vested interest in the community.
