| Shoba Yatra on Sant Kabir's Prakash Divas taken out | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JUNE 20: Megh Sudhar Sabha today organised a Shoba Yatra to mark 612th Parkash Divas of Sant Kabir which was flagged off by Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand. The Shoba Yatra started from M A stadium amid chanting of Jai Kabir, dhan Kabir and passed through various localities, including Jewel Chowk, Gumat, Vinayak Bazar, Sunder Singh Road, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Parade, Kachi Chowni and culminated at Sabha HQ old Rehari. Attractive Jankies, throwing light on the life and spiritual journey of fourteenth century saint were the main attraction of the shoba yatra. En-route, a large number of people, including women and children accompanied the congregation to pay tributes to Sant Kabir. Earlier, speaking at the soon before flagging off the shoba yatra , Deputy CM called upon the people to follow the teachings of the saint who enlightened the Indian society by showing the path of attaining the eternal truth. Tara Chand said that India is the land of saints and seers who, at various stages of history contributed in imbibing cherished values of communal harmony and mutual brotherhood among the people. He said their teachings have great relevance in present day world of materialism and cutthroat competition.
