| Centre to release Rs 200 cr under PMGSY | | 8 Selja promises TRC at Chatroo | | EARLY TIMES REPORT NEW DELHI, June 20: Minister for R&B, G.M. Saroori today called on Union Minister of State for Tourism and Urban Development, Kumari Seilja and brought to her notice the need for bringing Chatroo, Mughal-Maidain, Gondhu, Kilothran and Sinthin-Chingam of Kishtwar and Doda districts on the tourist map of the State. He emphasized for exploring vast potential of virgin spots of the area, adding that auxiliary facilities need to be put in place at these places. Kumari Seilja told Saroori that setting up of Tourist Reception Centre at Sarthal has already been approved, adding that another Tourist Reception Centre with allied infrastructure would also be established at Chatroo soon. She said that liberal financial assistance would be provided to Bhaderwah Tourism Development Authority and asked for sending project reports for developing new sites of tourist attraction falling under the Authority. Saroori, who is on tour of the capital, also held meeting with Union Secretary, Rural Development and was apprised that the Centre would release first installment of Rs. 200 crore under Prime Minister's Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) plan by the next week. The release of the first installment is the result of a series of meetings with Union Minister for Rural Development, Dr. C. P. Joshi during the past few months. The Minister has thanked the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Ghulam Nabi Azad for taking initiatives in the quick release of funds so that works in the State started at the earliest.
