JAMMU, June 20: Faced with the allegations of mishandling the Shalin Gupta abduction and murder case, SP (south) Abdul Razak Khan was today transferred along with his deputy, DSP (Gandhinagar) KS Jasrotia. Apart from them, the government ordered the transfer of two SSPs, seven SPs and six DSPs.
Official sources said the decision to transfer Razak and Jasrotia was taken after the allegations that the duo had failed to perform their professional duty in the Shalin case. While Razak was now posted as SO to IGP (traffic) Hemant Lohia, Jasrotia was transferred to JKAP XIII Bn. ML Kaith, DSP, (headquarters), Jammu, is posted as SDPO, Gandhinagar.
Rajeshwer Singh, SP (city), Udhampur, is new SP (south), Jammu. AH Bukhari, SSP (CI), Kashmir, replaces Javaid Riyaz as SSP, Srinagar. Riyaz is posted as SSP (traffic), Srinagar. Uttam Chand, SP, Kupwara, is posted as SP (CI), Kashmir. Vidhi Kumar Birdi, SP (east), Srinagar, is posted as SP, Kupwara. Birdi would hand over the charge to Sheikh Zulfikar Azad, SDPO, Kothibagh, Srinagar.
Ghulam Sarwar Chouhan, SO to IGP (traffic) is posted as commandant, JKAP 13th Bn against Ram Rattan Sharma. Showkat Hussain, SP (traffic), Srinagar, is posted as SP (north), Srinagar, vice Abdul Rashid, who goes to Kupwara as additional SP, replacing Mohammad Yousuf Mir, who is posted as commandant IRP 2nd Bn against an available vacancy. Aijaz Ahmad Mir, SDPO, Hazratbal, is posted as SDPO, MR Gunj, Srinagar.
Azhar Bashir Baba, DSP police component, Srinagar, is posted as SDPO, Hazratbal. Vinay Kumar, DSP DAR, Kathua, is posted as DSP CID (SS-II), CID Headquarters. Abdul Hamid, SDPO MR Gunj, Srinagar, is posted as DSP IRP 10th Bn.
