SRINAGAR, JUNE 23 : To ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage, the Chief Executive Officer of the SASB, Mr. Raj Kumar Goyal, today said that the Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra, who is the Chairman of the Shrine Board, is personally monitoring all the arrangements.
The Governor is also scheduled to visit the base camps at Nunwan and Baltal, and other camps enroute and the Holy Cave Shrine, this week, for on-the-spot review of the arrangements. The Yatra is scheduled to commence from both Pahalgam and Baltal on July 1.
Meanwhile, the officials of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) and all the concerned agencies and departments of the State Government are working on war footing for clearance of both the tracks, from Baltal and Pahalgam, to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji and, besides, putting in place all the logistical and security arrangements and other facilities at the Base Camps and various camps enroute the Holy Cave for the ensuing Yatra.
