| Sex Racket: Challan presented | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 23: In a much publicized sex-racket , Trikuta Nagar police today presented challan in a record period of six days in which three men and five women were arrested by the police from a house at Bilal Colony, Malik Market, Jammu. According to the challan, on June 18, the Trikuta Nagar police received an information about a brothel being run by one Sudesh Kumari, originally a resident of Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh and presently staying at Bilal Colony in a rented accommodation owned by Mohd Yousaf Bhat . On this information, the police raided the house and arrested three male and five females allegedly involved in the racket. A case u/s 3/4, 5/7 Immoral Traffic Prevention Act was registered and arrested all the eight persons. The raid was conducted under the supervision of SDPO City East Mukesh Kumar Ka-kkar. Those who were arrested on spot included Vijay Kumar, an employee of PWD and a resident of Shiv Nagar near AG Office, Sanjeev Kumar, shopkeeper r/o Sunderbani, Sandeep Mangotra, JE PWD Division No III, Mrs. Sudesh Kumari (who was running brothel), originally a resident of Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh Tehsil Nadoon at present Bilal Colony Malik Market, Jammu, Mrs. Sonia r/o Tang Tehsil Nadoon District Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh, a widow, Renu r/o Tang Tehsil Nadoon District Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh, Yasmin of Kolkatta and Renu Bala r/o at present Balyan Bagh Akhnoor District Jammu. Later, a challan was presented in the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Passenger Tax and Shops Act. Mr. Y.P. Kotwal, Special Mobile Magistrate Passanger Tax and Shops Act after going through the challan and after hearing the IO decided the bail applications which were pending before the Court and granted bail to all the accused to the tune of Rs 10, 000. --JNF
