| Gupta inspects various First Aid Camps | | | JAMMU, OCT 18 In order to take the stock of functioning of the First Aid Veterminary Camps established by the Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu at various locations of the migratory routes, the Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Dr. Satvir Gupta inspected various First Aid Camps at Banihal, Ramban, Chanderkote, Dhramthal and Udhampur. Enroute the Director, Sheep Husbandry also inspected livestock of the migratory breeders and held interaction with the flock owners at various locations. He was told that nearly 34784 sheep & goats have so far crossed the Udhampur check post for their onward journey to various winter head-quarters out of which 1228 animals were provided first aid treatment for various ailments. The breeders in general expressed their satisfaction over the functioning of the camps established by the department for providing round the clock Veterinary Treatment to the migratory livestock. The Director Sheep Husbandry assured the breeders that they will be provided all facilities in respect of the healthcare of their livestock and on-spot instructions were issued to the concerned officers and officials for keeping strict vigil to ensure timely and prompt aid to the needy sheep & goats during their downward migration to their winter head-quarters. |
