| WWAO organizes ‘Rutt-Rahade’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 24: To make younger generation of Dogra Community aware about the rich culture heritage and festivals of 'Dogra Desh' a 'Rutt-Rahade' festival was organized at Balika Niketan, Ved Mandir by world women's Awakening organization (WWAO) the niketan were taught about the importance of the festival. As per press release the function was organized under the leadership of Sneh Bali, national general secretary and convener, J&K Chapter, of W.W.A.O along with Prof. Sarla Kohli, Savita Bakshi, and Prof Nancy Handoo. The programme started with putting the neck part of pitcher in the soil. A colorful rangoli was also made, around the Rahadas speakers apprised the girls about the cultural importance of Rutt-Rahade festival which brings not only mutual love and harmony among the womenfolk of society but also teach the girls about the importance of rich cultural heritage of Duggar Pradesh. President W.W.A.O Prof Kohli exhorted the womenfolk to come forward to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Dogras which symbolizes for universal brotherhood. She said that festival was also celebrated as a testimony of the crops of season and for the well being of family members. |
