| CM should intervene in migrant posts matter | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 24: In a statement, President Kashmiri Migrant Dogra Rajput Sabha Haqiqat Singh, impressed upon the state government to immediately advertise the remaining posts for the Kashmiri Migrant youth under Prime Minster's package so that the left out youth get a chance of employment in state service. He said that the conditions of recruitment imposed by the government for migrant youth are arbitrary and illegal. Recruits are forced to give an undertaking of serving life long in the valley, and if they ask for transfer elsewhere in the state they would lose their job. This violates the right of freedom of movement which is one of the fundamental human rights. Singh further cautioned the government to be very careful in posting fresh recruits from among the migrant youth in the valley keeping in mind fragile security situation there.. He said that not announcing the last date of acceptance of applications forms had created chaos and confusion among the applicants. Moreover many aspiring youth could not get the application forms because of callous attitude of SSRB. He appealed to the Chief Minister to personally intervene in the matter and direct SSRB to repeat the advertisement of June 9, 2010 with extended date so that prospective candidates are not denied an opportunity. |
