| Rally highlights ill effects of drugs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,June 24: IN its continuation of Drug Abuse campaign, the Directorate of Social Welfare, Jammu in collaboration with JK Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (Mashwara Drug De-addiction Centre), a National NGO, organised a rally here today.
The rally was flagged off by Director Social Welfare, Mehmud Rana. More than 250 Anganwadi workers and supervisors participated. Rally started from lower Roop Nagar, ICDS office to Janipur Chowk. Carrying placards and banners with messages on ill effects of drug use, they not only distributed pamphlets with a message on evil effects of drugs but also appealed to the local masses to support the rally. During the rally, organization provided helpline services which include toll free number and local number i.e. 1800-11-3872 and 0191-2604309 to get information on ill effects of drug use and available services. Centre) Rakesh Kumar, Incharge Ms. Pallavi Singh, counsellors and volunteers of JKSPYM also participated.
