| RPPWA urges for reforms in police dept | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 24: Retired Police Personnel Welfare Association (RPPWA) held a meeting to discuss the problems of the retired personnel and stated that lack of facilities led to the demoralization among the police personnel here today. In a press statement issued by the association, it was stated that the hierarchy in the police organization was responsible for the failure of production of men of competence and integrity. Asssociation also complained that demoralization was being felt at various levels such as welfare of police personnel as per the welfare policies and the accommodation for the lower and upper subordinates. The association appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene into the matter and review the non-professionalism and also requested to provide reservation for the wards of police personnel and retired police personnel during recruitments at various levels. Among the prominent officers present included Brij Mohan Sharma, Zakir Hussain Shah, Gurdev Singh, Muzafar Hussain Shah, Nazir Hussain Malik, and Bashir Ahmed.
