4 jawans killed, 2 injured in road mishap

Srinagar | Oct 19

At least four army personnel were killed on the spot, and two others were wounded, when a private Tata Sumo, in which they were travelling, collided head-on with a truck near Nowgam on the outskirts of Srinagar city, early this morning.
Sources in the police department told this reporter that army personnel were travelling in a private Tata Sumo when it met with the accident near Nowgam.
Giving details, sources said, that the at around 11 AM today the Tata Sumo collided head on with the truck coming from opposite direction. Four RR personnel travelling in the vehicle were killed on the spot, while its driver and two other jawans received critical injuries, they added.
Police said that it immediately shifted the injured to the hospital, where from the army jawans were shifted to command hospital. Their condition was said to be critical.
