| DC finalizes arrangements for Id-ul-Fitr | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | OCT 19
In view of the security reasons, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Hirdesh Kumar Singh has urged upon the Nimajis not to bring with them any objectionable item like mobile phones, pocket transistor, video or still camera etc within the premises of Idgah venues to avoid any untoward incidents during the auspicious occasion Id-ul-Fitre. Singh was reviewing the arrangements for smooth and peaceful conduct of Id festival which were finalized here today. Among others the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Health Officers and senior officials of various concerned departments. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the four flying squads to conduct vigorious checking drives to ensure that quality of all essential commodities will be maintained and also all the shopkeepers should display rate lists in their respective establishments. He directed the PHE authorities to ensure proper and timely supply of potable water to the people besides he also impressed upon the PDD authorities to provide better power supply on this occasion. He asked the traffic authorities to ensure that no vehicle should be allowed to park in and around the Idgahs. |
