| Hosts JKP in semis of Martyrs Football | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 25: Hosts Jammu and Kashmir Police today registered a sensational win over the current All India Police Games runners-up, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to enter the semi-finals of ongoing 12th J&K Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament at Bakshi Stadium, here. The visiting CRPF team was beaten by a solitary goal by the energetic `A' team of J&K Police in the first quarterfinal of the tournament. Now, in other three quarterfinals, scheduled for tomorrow, Saffalo-A shall meet Iqbal Sports at 8.30 am, followed by the second quarterfinal between RCF Kapurthala and Food and Supplies XI at 2 pm. The third match is scheduled to be played between professional side of J&K Bank and J&K Forest XI at 4 pm. Earlier, in the pre-quarterfinals, played today, Saffalo beat J&K Police-B team by two goals to nil while Food and Supplies trounced Maharaja Sports 1-0. Another quarterfinalist, J&K Forest blanked the current All India Police Champions, Punjab Police 3-0. In today's quarterfinal played between J&K Police and CRPF, Inspector General of Police (Armed), Dilbag Singh was special guest, who interacted with both the teams.
