Flying squads book 27 defaulters

JAMMU, OCTOBER 18-As a sequel to vigorous checking drive launched by the different flying squads in view of forthcoming festivals i.e Diwali and Id to keep a strong vigil over price control and also to ensure quality products under Essential Commodities Act, during a surprise check of various markets and establishments within Municipal limits of Jammu 27defaulters have been booked here today.
These squads found a number of irregularities in various establishments during the inspection and booked these establishments under Essential Commodities Act, PFA/Weights & Measures Act.
While conducting the inspection, the flying squads have also apprised the general public who were in the market to purchase good quality of material and on the specified fixed rates and bring to the notice of the authorities about the malpractices.
