| Acquittal in murder case after 8 yrs trial | | | early times report
Jammu, June 28: Third Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu, Mr. RS Jain acquitted Lukhman s/o Jamal Din, Sajan s/o Amira and Saloka s/o Mir Hussain, all residents of Uttar Pradesh and alleged members of Kala Kaccha Group from the charges of murder, as prosecution has totally failed to bring the charge against the accused persons and took serious note of investigating agency.
While acquitting the accused, Third Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu, Mr. RS Jain after hearing both sides took serious note of investigating agency and said that the police agency has been inefficient while investigating the crime. This fact shows the shabby manner in which the investigation has been undertaken by the police agency and also exposed the negligence and inefficiency of police officers who were the administrative Incharge of the Investigating Team at the relevant time as well as the prosecution wing who would have surely gone through the challan before its presentation to see whether it is a fit case for presentation in the Court. With these observations, Court acquitted the accused after eight years trial and investigation in the much publicized Kala Kaccha Gang case. --JNF
