| JCUM seeks appointment of local VC in CU | | | early times report
JAMMU, June 28: Jammu Central University Morcha (JCUM) expressed concern over the inordinate delay in appointment of local Vice Chancellor for the Jammu Central University whereas all other universities established with same legislature have even started their academic session.
At a joint press conference, JCUM leaders stated that this indifferent and lackadaisical attitude, casual and not serious approach and policy of pleasing, appeasing and favouring particular class, community and reason after ignoring popular sentiments and aspirations of people, by the Govt. of India has ultimately led unrest and dissensions among different sections of society.
They warned the Govt of India in no uncertain terms that it must read the writing on the wall and must appoint local as Vice Chancellor of new Central University without any delay. JCUM leaders reminded the Govt, of Amar Nath Land Agitation and said that Jammu cannot be taken for granted all the times and any step taken must be first discussed and analysed.
