| JKNPP terms Jamaat, NC as political cousins | | | early times report
JAMMU, June 28: DESCRIBING National Conference and Jamaat as political cousins, Prof Bhim Singh, Chairman, JKNPP today said Geelani's slogan 'Quit Kashmir' was a repeat of NC's slogan of 'Quit Kashmir'in 1946, which was Sheikh Abdullah's greatest blunder in his life against the Dogras. "This slogan against the Dogras and Maharaja Hari Singh was a treachery of National Conference against Maharaja Hari Singh who was the author of the State Subject in 1927 to protect the interests and basic rights of the people of the state. This slogan sowed the seeds of regional and communal conflicts in the state,'' he said .
Bhim said that Geelani was following the footsteps of the National Conference by repeating the same slogan which has exposed the hidden alliance between National Conference and Jamaat-e-Islami in Kashmir .Bhim said National Conference intended cleansing Kashmir of a particular community and the Dogras, whereas Geelani was intending to wage a war against the Indian Army and the security forces in order to create a situation to establish a sectarian state proposed in Dixon Plan at the behest of the White House, the USA. Meanwhile, Prof. Bhim Singh expressed gratitude to the Indian Army who came to the rescue of the Kashmiries in 1947 when Pak army regulars along with Pak-sponsored raiders invaded Kashmir , started loot, arson, rape, humiliating and insulting women.
He said those who are shouting against the Indian Army, including the Chief Minister owe an explanation as to why there was no complaint against the Indian Army till 1989? Why there was no encounter? The jawans and the decorated officers of the Indian Army have been martyred by whom and the NC leaders have started defending those who have been waging war against India ?
In an appeal to Governor Mr. N.N. Vohra, the Panthers Party Supremo has urged for his immediate intervention to rescue the State from total disaster. He said that Governor in his capacity can invoke Section 92 of J&K Constitution and remove the Government.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that slapping PSA against Geelani and other opposition leader was no solution and demanded their release and face their challenge on a public platform to expose them and their anti-national slogan publicly.
Prof. Bhim Singh called on Young Panthers and Panthers Students Union to take up the issue to streets without any delay to save Jammu and Kashmir from further disaster.
