| Sadhbhavna projects inaugurated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu June 28 : As part of its continuing endeavour under Operation Sadbhavana, and Border Area Development (BADP) to reach out to the local population staying near the IB, the Army under the aegis of the "Chicken Neck Brigade" handed over three Sadbhavana and two BADP projects to the locals in Jammu region today. Three Sadbhavana projects included installation of eight tube wells in the forward area of Marh and Makwal, installation of five solar light units near Kukarhan and construction of a dining hall for children at Red Cross Home at Talab Tillo, Jammu. The BADP project includes construction of causeway at Bari Cho in Marh area. These projects are likely to entail a total cost of approximately Rs 23.50 lakhs. The handing over ceremony was attended by Brig. KA Mahabir, Commander, Chicken Neck Brigade, local MLAs, Choudhary Sukhnan-dan, and Bharat Bhushan, a large number of local people and Army officers.
The locals expressed their gratitude to the Army authorities for having implemented these projects that would go a long way in contributing to the development of the area. |
