Two posts created | | | Early Times Report srinagar, June 28: With a view to providing support to the district administration, the Government today created the posts of Special Commissioner and Special Inspector General of Police for Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara districts on ex-cadre basis. According to a Government Order issued in this regard today, Secretary Social Welfare Department, Mohammad Syed Khan has been transferred and posted as Special Commissioner for Baramulla, Bandidpora and Kupwara in his own pay and grade. He shall discharge, within the local limits of these districts, the duties and functions assigned to a Divisional Commissioner and also exercise such of the powers in respect of such class of cases as may be vested in him by the Government from time to time under relevant laws. The Inspector General of Police, Vigilance Organization, Paknaj Saxena has been transferred and posted as Special Inspector General of Police for Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara districts. He shall discharge, within the local limits of these districts, the duties and functions assigned to an inspector General of Police under relevant laws. The above officers have been instructed to report to their new places of posting immediately without availing joining time. The posts of Special Commissioner and Special Inspector General of Police, Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara have been declared equivalent to status and responsibility to the IAS cadre post of the Divisional Commissioner and to the IPS cadre post of Inspector General of Police in terms of IAS and IPS (Pay) Rules respectively. Meanwhile, Secretary School Education has been given the additional charge of the post of Secretary Social Welfare till further orders. |
