| Fire erupts at Vaishnodevi hills | | |

Jammu, June 28: Fire today erupted in Trikuta hills where housing the cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi is located in Jammu and Kashmir but pilgrimage to the shrine was not affected, police officials said.
The fire erupted in a dense forest belt adjacent to Bhawan area of Trikuta hills in Katra tehsil of Reasi district late this afternoon and spread to other areas, they said. Forest officials, villagers, Police and Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board officials swung into action to put out the fire when reports last came, they said. |
