Azad greets people on Diwali

Srinagar, Oct 20
Felicitating people on the eve of the festival lights, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has wished happy Diwali to countrymen, saying that the pious festival denotes the victory of righteousness.
Hoping that the festival would bring joy and prosperity for the country and the state, which has already witnessed a long period of gloom, Chief Minister in his message said that justice, peace and co-existence with equality are principals taught by great festivals like Diwali.
Chief Minister asked the people that while celebrating the festival of joy and exchanging greetings and happiness, they should also remember their poor and deserving brothern and also do a good for their joy. He said that the state represents a beautiful land of composite culture and all festivals are celebrated in unison and amity.
Mr. Azad hoped that this characteristics phenomenon of the state would live till world survives.
He prayed for peace and prosperity of the people of the state and the country.
