The protest/Demonstration continued on 7th consecutive day today under the banner of All J&K Excise and Commercial Tax class IV Govt. Employees Union and who shouted slogans against the anti people/wrong policies of the state government. They took out a rally from Excise and taxation complex Rail head Jammu to Main Panama Chowk Jammu. During the protest / Demonstration employees of the union blamed state government for crushing their jobs after eight years of their services and also stated that the Dy. Chief Minister has his personnel interest in terminating the services of these 500 poor employees and politically victimizing these poor employees and their families. The employees said in a press release.
The problems faced by the Excise and Commercial Taxes Government Class IV Employees are quite genuine and needs no further comments. After serving in the said department we are driven to the wall it is not our fault were recruited/appointed. We joined this department by the orders of the competent authorities of the government the release said.
The spokesperson of the union Nazir Ahmed Bhatt stressed upon the Hon’ble Chief Minister of J&K state and chair person of Congress Party ( Sonia Gandhi) demanding their intervention in the matter for the retention of the services in their respective departments through sending our case in the house committee or framing a uniform policy for all departments giving equal rights to all employees of the state. It is a big injustice with us and our 500 families incase the government completes the fresh recruitment process against our posts the release said.
The release added the agitated employees are going to organize a rally demonstration on 26/7/2006 at 11.am from excise Taxation Complex, Rail Head Jammu to Indira Chowk Jammu. If the government fails to stop such killings process till the govt. frames a policy/ sent our case to the house committee till date our agitation will continue against these wrong policies the release said.
We are appealing al political parties and non- political parties and all unions and associations and painfully appealing general public support us on humanitarian grounds to save our families and children and come forward against this wrong and killing policy of the state government. Those who spoke in the said protest/ Demonstration are Adil Rashid Khan (President), Surinder Sharma (Vice- President) ,Nazir Ahmed Bhat(Gen Secretary), Charanjit Ram (Cashier) Anjam Waziar (Chief Org.), Shameem Ahmed( joint Sectt.), Narinder Dogra (org.). Haffizullah Bhatt, Mohd. Ishaq Malik, Sarabjeet Singh, Suresh Kumar, Mohd. Sgafi Mallah, Riaz and others the release added.
