Six cops, detainee injured as police vehicle plunges into gorge | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 12: Six police officials and a detainee got injured when a vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Sulla near Reasi. According to sources, a police vehicle (Tata Sumo) bearing registration number JK14 B 4226 on way to Reasi from Katra plunged into a Nullah near Sulla area on Katra-Reasi Highway. The ill fated police vehicle was carrying a detainee Kewal Krishan, who was being shifted from Katra police station to Reasi police station, said sources adding that as the driver lost control over the steering it skidded off the road and plunged into a 10 feet deep gorge. All the injured were rushed to District Hospital, Udhampur where their treatment was in progress and their condition was stated to be stable. The identification of the injured cops has been established as Sub Inspector Bhupinder Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector Chamel Singh, driver Pardeep Singh, constables Parshotam Dass, Rishi Kumar and Billaw Chand.
