| Top LeT militant arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER

A top LeT militant identified as Mohd Yaqoob code Ashiq Hussain S/o Fateh Mohd. Gujjar resident Gurahala, Tehsil Gandoh of district Doda was arrested by the police.
According to SSP, Mukesh Singh at the time of arrest police recovered one pistol along with a loaded magazine identity card and one mobile phone form his possession. A case under FIR no 87/06 under section 120b/121/122/216 RPC, 7/27 arms act 3 PSS act has been registered at police station Jajjar Kotli.
SSP further said that during the interrogation militant disclosed that he joined militancy some three years back and remained active in Gandoh, Bhaderwah and also in tehsil Mendhar in district Poonch.
He further said militant received training in handling of arms, ammunition and explosives the jungles of Kither in tehsil Kishtwar, and has taken active part in various militancy related activities. SSP Mukesh Singh said, militant six months back he sent to Poonch for operating in militant activities and remain active in Gurai and Mendahr areas.
He said, before he could execute the mission he was apprehended. Interrogation of the militant s going on and more arrests are expected on his disclosures.
