| State Billiards-Snooker Championships from July 17 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 14: Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association, the 20th State Billiards and Snooker Championships in both Junior and Senior categories shall take place at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here from July 17. "All the interested players are requested to submit their entries at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium on or before July 16 to Surjeet Singh and Rakesh Sharma," general secretary of the Association, Sheetal Gandotra said. The entries should be accompanied by a fee of Rs 150 for seniors and Rs 100 for juniors for each event. Draws for the seeding and placing shall be held at Billiards Hall on July 16 at 6 pm. "This championship shall be considered as qualifying competition for the forthcoming national competitions, scheduled to be held at Pune in Maharashtra in end of August," informed Sheetal. The competition shall be played according to the rules and regulations of Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI). All the junior cueists have to produce their date of birth certificates in original before the commencement of their matches.
