Farooq did not spare secessionists, pro Pak elements in all parties meet | | | Ashwani EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 14: National Conference president and Union Minister of New and renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah has warned those elements who want to overthrow the Omar Abdullah led coalition Government in the state. According to high placed sources Dr Abdullah during the All Parties meeting at Srinagar on July 12 made it clear that the NC led coalition Government will complete its full term. He said some vested elements wanted to overthrow the NC led coalition in the state but they will never succeed in their designs. Dr Abdullah according to sources has also raised a finger on a section of the administration who were hobnobbing with such elements to show door to coalition Government in the state. The sources said the former Chief Minister while making a dig at such elements said instead of working to solve the public problems these men in administration were wasting their time in hatching a conspiracy in toppling the coalition Government in the state. He warned that these elements will never succeed in their designs. Maintaining that J&K is an integral part of India Dr Abdullah said no power on earth can separate J&K from India. He said those talking of secessionism and merger of J&K with Pakistan were befooling and misguiding the people. Besides India China and Pakistan, are also the nuclear powers who can pose a threat to Kashmir always. Dr Abdullah the sources said that merger of J&K with India is final and his entire family was Indian and it will remain so for centuries to come. He lashed out at those elements who advocated for independent Kashmir or its merger with Pakistan saying they are worst enemies of the people of the Valley, the sources added. The sources said former Chief Minster sought the cooperation of all in restoring the peace in the Valley and stressed on creation of employment avenues for unemployed youth in all three regions of the state. He said employment is not the problem of a particular region but all the three regions of the state are confronted with it. He stressed on united efforts in settling this problem. He urged the opposition political parties to cooperate with the Government and help in taking up this issue with union Government. The sources said that leaders of various political parties in the meeting hailed the efforts taken by NDA Government led by Atal Behari Vajpayee in resolving the Kashmir issue by holding a meaningful dialogue. They also stressed that these efforts be continued for restoration of everlasting peace in Sub-continent. The sources said Besides BJP the leaders of CPI (M) and CPI M Y Tarigami and Abdul Rehman Takroo also commended the security forces role and services and did not support the idea of targeting them.
