| R S Pura villagers grope in dark | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July15 : Residents of many villages of the R S Pura are facing hardships in this scorching heat due to snapping of power supply owing to a fault developed five days ago. As on July 10, 2010 a heavy storm occurred in Jammu due to which many things destroyed as a result of which many electric wires and poles get damaged because of which many villagers of the R S Pura area have been suffering but PDD is not paying any heed to their problems.
The farming community is suffering badly as this is the crop season and they are totally dependent on the electricity for water supply but due to non supply of power from last five days as a result of the crops are on the brink of collapse. "Government always negate the problems of rural areas, if this would happen in urban areas, government would have definitely taken any active action till the time," stated by one senior citizen.
