CJM reserves judgement

Jammu, July 15: The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Srinagar reserved judgement on BSF petition seeking transfer of Zahid Farooq case to a BSF court. The judgement is expected to be announced on July 31.
Zahid Farooq, a student of 11th standard was allegedly killed by a BSF party near Brain Nishat on February 5. BSF commandant RK Birdi and Constable Lakhwinder have been arrested in this connection. In Tufail Matoo case, the CJM directed the police to submit a detailed report by July 22 or ensure presence of the SSP Srinagar on the said date. Matoo of Saida Kadal got killed on June 11 when a smoke shell hit him in down town Srinagar.
