CBI probe into missing of two girls from Padder PS sought | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 15 : Former convenor of Sangarsh Samiti Leela Karan Sharma today demanded a CBI inquiry into missing of two young girls from a Police station, Gulab Garh under mysterious circumstances of Padder area of Kishtwar district. He alleged that the false Shopian murder case was handed over to CBI where Kashmiri leadership blamed CRPF which was totally manuplated . ``I have doubt that both the young girls Sapna and Sangeeta were torched by SHO Farooq Wani in the Police Station without any reason,'' he said . There are apprehensions that these girls may have been be raped and than assassinated. The Padder is very far flung and backward area in Kishtwar district. According to reports, these two girls were on way to home with their relative when a police constable under the juridiction of SHO Wani forcibly took these girls to the police station and after that SHO Wani asked other policemen to leave his office. Wani is said to have slapped the relative of two girls and asked him to leave the police station and these two girls in lock-up. Later, their parents after hearing about the incident, rushed to the police station where they were informed that girls had been sent home. However, the parents failed to locate them and next day local residents found some cloth of girls near bank of river of Chenab. Meanwhile, Leela Karan said that If such incident would have happened in the Valley, the government might have given Rs 5 to 10 lakhs to the families of the victim. He urged the government to handover the case to CBI and ex-gratia for families of victims. |
